Nevada, often referred to as the Silver State, is celebrated for its vast desert landscapes, scenic natural spots, and Las Vegas, famously dubbed the world’s casino capital. This state is home to elaborately crafted hotels, limitless entertainment choices, and luxurious resorts.

Cathedral Gorge State Park: Pioche
Over thousands of years, wind and water erosion have transformed this landscape into an exciting world of caves and spirals. Cathedral Gorge State Park is right in the middle of all the action. As one of Nevada’s most iconic landscapes with its 4-mile walking trail, there are ample sightseeing outings available.
Cathedral George has updated its facilities to include 22 RV sites with full 30 amp and 50 amp electric hookups. Some of their sites are pull-through, while others allow guests to back up their RVs. There are clean showers, water, and dump stations located throughout the park, with shaded tables and grills available at a few sites.
Guests can enjoy hiking up to Miller Point for a complete view of the landscape and some excellent birdwatching.
Mountain Shadows RV Park: Wells
Mountain Shadows RV Park is amongst the alpine forests and lakes in Nevada. While this is a more isolated park, Mountain Shadows provides tons of amenities. The local area is ripe with outdoor activities and prides itself on its rich historical features such as the Downtown Wells authentic western experience.
On arrival, campers get to choose from full utility hookups, cable TV, WiFi access, clean bathrooms with showers, and laundry facilities. The camp store and other amenities are directly next to the park. Outdoor adventures include trails for hiking, ATV exploration, and biking.
The Angel Lake provides plenty of fishing opportunities to keep families entertained, or guests could enjoy views of the lower Ruby and Humboldt Mountain ranges. There is also the Chimney Rock Golf Course, which offers nine holes to help pass the holiday time.
Sparks Marina RV Park: Sparks
Sparks Marina RV Park derives its name from its next-door neighbors, Sparks Marina and Sparks Marina Park. Sparks Marina RV Park affords guests all the glitz and glamor that Reno has to offer. Visitors can also explore Lake Tahoe State Park located less than an hour away from the park.
The park offers 300 acres of windsurfing, boating, sailing, and skiing for adventurous travelers. In contrast, others can enjoy their time relaxing on the shoreline or playing in the clean water. Guests can even rinse off in one of the site’s private bathhouses equipped with showers.
Sparks Marina can accommodate all types and sizes of rigs with their spacious pull-through RV sites. Each site comes equipped with 30 and 50 amp electrical, free WiFi and cable TV access, as well as water and sewerage. There is also a laundromat, camp store, clubhouse, fitness center, and a BBQ area on-site.
Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort: Las Vegas
Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort, one of Good Sam’s Top 100 Parks, contains over 400 RV sites fitted with 30 and 50 amp electric, water, sewerage, WiFi access, cable TV, and even landlines. They have a 10,000 square foot entertainment facility with 24-hour security patrol, a spa, and a fitness center. The resort also offers concierge services and five-star rated bathhouses.
Guests can enjoy playing tennis on the lighted courts or relaxing in the resort’s pools and spas. There is a massage parlor to help campers unwind or you can play on the nine-hole putting course. Dine on-site in bliss at their 1950s themed restaurant surrounded by over 1,000 palm trees.
Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort has a perfect score for its Trailer Life rating. It has a concert hall with a flat-screen TV and an outdoor kitchen. The resort offers discounts to Military Veterans, Good Sam Club members, AAA, and FMCA.

Verdict
In my opinion, there are some fantastic locations on this list. This ranges from the northern dunes in Winnemucca down to the southern tip where you’ll find the scenic Laughlin. This Silver State, named after the historical silver rush days, overflows with adventures for families to enjoy. I’ll choose from any of these spectacular RV parks on my next big expedition out west!
