New Freedom Fighters join ATVA
The AMA/ATVA has strengthened its legislative efforts by adding two politically savvy advocates to the ATV and motorcycling team.
Richard Podliska is the new Washington representative, responsible for carrying on the fight for ATVers' rights on Capitol Hill. He worked for years for various U.S. representatives as well as the U.S. House Judiciary Committee before joining the AMA/ATVA. Jessica Irving is the AMA/ATVA's new states rights coordinator, responsible for coordinating AMA/ATVA volunteers at the state and local levels to fight anti-ATVing legislation and other poorly thought-out laws. Her experience includes working for various national political campaigns as well as the White House. "Richard and Jessica add some important firepower to our efforts to protect motorcyclists' rights, and they couldn't have joined the AMA/ATVA at a more critical time," said Ed Moreland, AMA/ATVA vice president for government relations. "ATVers are under attack this year like never before, both in the halls of Congress and in states and towns around the nation."
