Kymco USA Joins Specialty Vehicle Institute of America

KYMCO USA is the 11th and newest all-terrain vehicle manufacturer to join the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA).

The SVIA is the not-for-profit trade association founded and funded by the leading manufacturers and distributors of ATVs in the United States and includes Arctic Cat, BRP, Bush Hog, Honda, John Deere, Kawasaki, Polaris, Suzuki, Tomberlin, and Yamaha.

KYMCO has joined the members of SVIA to support the long-standing programs and efforts to make ATV riding safer and more enjoyable for all riders, including hands-on ATV rider training offered nationwide through the ATV Safety Institute and advocating for state legislation to regulate known problematic behaviors.

"KYMCO is a global leader in power driven products. Its membership will reinforce SVIA's ongoing efforts in rider training and education," said Tim Buche, president of SVIA.

KYMCO's rapidly growing product line currently consists of five sport quads and four utility class machines.

"We are proud to be a part of the SVIA team," said Bruce Ramsey, VP of Sales and Marketing for KYMCO USA. "We look forward to a long relationship helping to promote ATV rider safety and training for the industry and our consumer base."

Key elements of the SVIA's programs are aimed at deterring the use of adult-sized ATVs by children under age 16, marketing ANSI-compliant products and providing appropriate safety information and training opportunities to consumers.
