Round 8 of Extreme Dirt Track moves to Brownstown, Illinois

The Fayette County Fairgrounds in Brownstown, Illinois, will host the final round of the Duro Extreme Dirt Track ATVA Nationals on September 29.

The new venue and date became necessary when Paducah International Raceway said it would not be able to host the event. The ATVA and event promoter Steve Nace quickly arranged the alternate location.

"Moving to a different track and date is not something we ever want to do," said ATVA Director Doug Morris. "We are aware the change will inconvenience some of the racers and fans, and we apologize for that, but circumstances forced us to make the change."

The Fayette County Fairgrounds are located just five miles from Vandalia, Illinois, which offers accommodations and restaurants. The fairgrounds are easily accessible by taking exit 68 on Interstate 70 and then driving two miles east on Route 40.

The track is a quarter-mile clay oval with banked turns and space in the infield for a TT section. There's also a brand new aluminum covered grandstand for fans and plenty of amenities for racers, including modern bathrooms, showers and plenty of level parking.
