Harold Goodman wins round three
Goodman wins again at Pine Lake
Harold Goodman (#708 Honda) of Romulus, Michigan, pulled the hole shot and took the win at the world-famous Pine Lake, Ashtabula, Ohio, July 22 in the fourth round of the Duro Extreme Dirt Track ATVA Nationals.

Racers were excited about the new track layout that featured a wider track, more banking in turns, a redesigned table top jump and an option lane. This year the weather cooperated by featuring perfect racing weather, cool temps, blue skies with a light breeze.
The top 20 Pros had to earn their starting positions for the main event. In the fastest qualifier, the top three were Mitch Reynolds (#137 Suzuki), Greenbrier, Arkansas, Chuckie Creech (#25, Honda), Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and Michael Coburn (#038 Honda), Garretson, South Dakota.
Next fastest qualifier top three featured Shane Hitt (#5 Honda), Buckhannon, West Virginia, Darin Ogden (#43 Honda), Dillonvale, Ohio, and Brad Riley (#27 Honda), High Point, North Carolina.
From the final qualifier it was Goodman, Frank Batista (#13 Honda), Riverdale, California and Danny McGraw (#143 Honda), Hale, Missouri.
In the main event show down, Goodman pulled the hole shot followed by hard charging Hitt. A very focused Hitt put his years of racing experience to work, trying to find some way around Goodman, who rode a flawless race. The two evenly matched riders and machines battled every inch of the 20-lap Pro event. But Goodman came out on top with Hitt second.

Creech, Reynolds, Batista and Coburn were in their own battle behind the front runners. Lap after lap, each would challenge the rider in front of them, looking for that little gap to make a pass that never happened. At the checkered flag it was Creech in third, with no change in the group behind him.
Going into the fifth round at Ozark Mountain ATV Raceway in Ava, Missouri, August 4, Goodman leads the series with 115 points, Hitt has 93 points and Mitch Reynolds in third with 69 points.
