New Independent Rear Suspension Kit for ATVs

June 28, 2006 – Sonic Offroad is now offering the first-ever independent rear suspension kit for racing ATVs.

Going fast isn’t entirely horsepower when it comes to ATV racing. If you can’t get the power to the ground, an extra five horsepower will only result in extra wheel spin. As a matter of fact, the limit to acceleration in all types of racing is tire traction.

The Sonic Spider IRS Kit is available as an easy upgrade to your existing ATV.

Andrew Ciasulli, president of Sonic Offroad Inc., says, "Not only does it look fast, it makes your ATV handle like a dream and only takes 30 minutes to assemble." The kit comes pre-adjusted to minimize down time and to make the conversion as easy as possible. The Sonic Spider Kit attaches to the same frame mounts as your exiting swing arm and your rear shock.

The racers and designers at Sonic Offroad believe the GNCC racers will benefit the most from this unit. The increased ground clearance makes it possible to clear rocks and other obstacles that would appose a hang-up threat to conventional ATVs.

The Sonic Spider Kit has a 4130 chorally sub-frame to which the a-arms, shocks, center axle, caliper and rotor mount to. The sub-frame is easily attached to the ATV frame at the swing arm bolt and the stock upper shock mount bolt. An adjustable tie bar links the sub frame to the ATV at the upper shock mount bolt. This tie bar link is adjustable so the rider can adjust the ride height of the rear as well as the rear suspension pitch.

Price: $3,400.
