New Products: Shok-SpotR Helmet Shock Sensor
May
27, 2005 – Everyone knows that a hard knock to a helmet can damage it.
But how do you know if your helmet has suffered a hard enough knock to compromise its ability to protect your head?
REM Performance can help you out.
The company is offering the new Shok-SpotR helmet impact sensor from Yorba Safety
Concepts. It mounts on the outside of a helmet and lets you know if the helmet
suffers a severe shock. Once the sensor turns red, indicating a severe impact,
then it’s a good idea to have the helmet examined by its manufacturer for safety,
or to buy a new one.
Once the Shok-SpotR sensor turns red, indicating a severe impact, it can't be reset.
Available in black or chrome, the Shok-SpotR sells for $19.95.
