ATVA and AMA honors champs of 2004
November 29, 2004 – The ATVA honored its champions and bestowed a number of awards recently during the second annual ATVA/AMASports Awards Banquet in Las Vegas. The event celebrates the achievements of the top youth, amateur, Pro-Am and Premiere racers of the 2004 season.
The
ATVA Athlete of the Year Award, went to ATV Motocross Champion Doug Gust.
"We were the underdog this year, but we proved them wrong," said Gust (right, with ATVA Director Doug Morris) upon accepting his award. "And we're planning to come out real strong next year."

- Organizer of the Year: Victory Sports
- Amateur Rider of the Year: Mitch Reynolds
- Youth Rider of the Year: Ashton Laird
- Vet/Senior (30+) Rider of the Year: John Gallagher
- Female Rider of the Year: Stephanie Parton, GNCC
