Click to enlargeSept. 11, 2003 – Honda unveiled its much-anticipated TRX450R at their annual dealer convention in Las Vegas. This is touted as the replacement for the infamous 250R.

To prove their commitment, Honda also announced that they have signed nine-time ATV Champion Tim Farr (below) to pilot the trick new quad. Farr rode the TRX450R on the stage in front of 2,500-plus Honda dealers for the announcement.

In the 1980s, Honda's race team was dominant and now Honda is the first factory to come back to ATV racing.

I worked with them in the development of the TRX450R and it is an incredible machine. As usual, Honda has raised the bar in ATV's", Farr said. Farr will be contracted to "Ride Red" for the 2004 and 2005 indoor stadium series as well as the GNC MX and TT series.

He will also debut the TRX450R in this November's Baja 1000 race.

Farr added, "I could not wait to share this news with all of my loyal sponsors that have backed my racing efforts throughout my career."
