ATV Donated to Rescue Squad
Dec. 8, 2003 – The Nebraska Off Highway Vehicle Association and Kearney Yamaha joined forces to provide local rescuers with some needed equipment.
They donated to the Thedford Rescue Squad/Fire Department the use of a 2003 Yamaha 660 Grizzly and a Mountain Goat Medi-vac trailer. The equipment is for use in the Nebraska National Forest near Halsey.
The Nebraska Off Highway Vehicle Association has also offered to help get additional items for the squad including helmets, emergency equipment, and maybe even a $1,300 storage unit.
This isn't the first time that the association has helped out local rescuers. In 2001, the association sponsored a rescue unit for the Genoa Rescue Squad and Nance County Sheriff's Department.
